Regenerative SPACE
Resilient local communities realised through building sustainable green economies,
supported by functioning natural systems and biodiversity conservation.
This is underpinned by our belief in transparency, traceability and accountability.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We initiate
We conceive and identify solutions, ideas and business opportunities that would benefit the Localised Green Economy (LGE).
We innovate
We investigate, invent and research solutions to problems and create value to the benefit of the localised green economy.
We incubate
We assist with research, development and mentoring of proposed commercial ventures
or innovative ideas that would serve the development of the LGE.
We catalyse
We efficiently and effectively speed up and improve the development of localised green economy SMMEs, linking entities, building value chains, sharing resources, identifying and building circularities, and finding and securing multiple points of access to market.
We glue
We hold this all together. We identify weaknesses in the LGE and resolve them, and we plan strategically for the future. For example, future work to replace alien
biomass clearing once biomass has been cleared, developing wider and diverse
off-take partnerships to ensure a market for diverse biomass products. We take
a long view on the landscape and communities within it, with the aim of
pre-emptively adjusting the LGE value chains in order to ensure value longevity
and community and environmental resilience for the people and businesses within it.
Quite simply:
we think you will too
We are convinced that ordinary people all over the world can make a difference, can effect social and environmental change.
We think that people from all walks of life are ready to be steered towards sustainability and regeneration.
People – including us – are tired of words, empty promises. We are all about action.
We are driven by a sense of urgency to enable a fundamentally different way of caring for people and the planet.
WHERE DO WE DO IT
Because the Agulhas Plain,
situated at the southern tip of Africa,
is part of the Cape Floristic Region
(a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
